Commission Helps Oregonians See a Brighter Future

For over 50 years, the Oregon Commission for the Blind (OCB) has been an important resource for visually impaired Oregonians, as well as their families, friends, and employers…and their services are completely free for eligible individuals!

As a state government agency providing vocational rehabilitation and independent living services, OCB offers training in skills that enable blind and visually impaired adults to be self-sufficient.

Don’t feel helpless or dependent anymore…

OCB’s mission is to assist blind Oregonians in making informed choices and decisions to achieve full inclusion and integration in society through employment, independent living, and social self sufficiency.

The no-cost services offered by OCB include the following; Employment Counseling and Training, Low Vision Assessments, Mobility, Written Communication, Independent Living Skills Training, and Personal Management Training.

Vocational Rehabilitation…

If you or someone you know is visually impaired or legally blind the OCB vocational rehabilitation program is here to help. The goal of the OCB’s vocational rehabilitation program is to give clients the confidence and skills necessary for successful employment

Independent Living…

Independent living is the keystone to inclusion in society. The OCB’s Independent Living program is designed to teach blind or visually impaired people to adjust to blindness and live independently in their community.

You’re Welcome Here…

The Oregon Commission for the Blind wants the Latino community to know that they are welcome to partake in any and all of the services that are offered. We invite you to contact our field office in Medford at 541 776-6047 or check out the web site at www.cfb.state.or.us for more information.

The Oregon Commission for the Blind is here to help!!!
