.) Leave Plenty of Time. Start looking for your dress 6 months prior to your Quinceañera. It can take up to 16 weeks for a special order gown to come in and alterations may take up to 4 weeks. Having a custom gown created can take about 5 months.
.) Know Your Body Type. Understand what styles work best with your body. The four main body types are Pear Shaped, Short and Petite, Square and hourglass.
.) Know your Budget. Know exactly how much you can spend. Starting your shopping early can help you find the perfect gown that doesn’t break your budget.
.) Style and Comfort. Be sure to find a dress that you love and can move in. You want to be able to dance and enjoy your day.
.) Accessories Budget. Many people forget to include a budget for accessories, jacket, shoes and jewelry. Be sure to include those when picking a gown and creating your budget.
